Cheap hotels in London

Finding a cheap accommodation in London is rather difficult: the majority of hotels in the English capital has on average higher prices in comparison with the rest of Europe. Online advance booking assures saving some money, especially for long stays.

In the city there are almost two hundred 1 and 2 star cheap hotels: many of them are situated in the district of Paddington, between Regent’s Park and Hyde Park, or in the south, at Earls Courts, between Chelsea and Hammersmith. In these areas, the price for a double room with private bathroom, satellite TV, Wi-Fi connection and breakfast included is hardly under 100 Euros: cheaper solution could offer a lower quality level.

To increase your savings you have to move out the central area of the city, for example in the suburbs of Hornsey and Walthamstow, 5-6 km away from the city centre, where hotel rooms have a price starting from 50-60 Euros. Lodging solutions in a 1 or 2 star hotel are available as well in the city centre, for example in King’s Cross or Whitechapel areas, but rates in these districts are rather high, between 120 and 140 Euros per night in a room with private bathroom and breakfast included.
