Not many lodging solutions in Istanbul can be really defined as a Bed & Breakfast. It is a mixed set of lodging options, some housed in old buildings, others in more recent properties, which offer customers en suite double rooms and breakfast included in the room rate.
They can be found both in the city centre, such as around Taksim Square and in the tourist district of Sultanahmet, but even near the outskirts of the city, in Aksaray, a few kilometers from the tourist areas. Prices as well are different depending on the accommodation type and location, they range from a minimum of 20-25 Euros to a maximum of 80-100 Euros per night.
There are many lodging options in Istanbul that bear the expression Hotel & Pension in their name. In these facilities, the difference is in what customers request: breakfast only or lunch and dinner included. Guest houses in Istanbul are particularly suitable for families and groups, they are good quality and offer a complete range of services: linen and towels, private bathroom, TV, Wi-Fi, heating and air conditioning. In recent years, in fact, the Turkish government imposed the modernization on the oldest accommodation and this upgrade places them in line with the services offered by cheap hotels in the rest of Europe. Rates for a guesthouse in Istanbul start from 25 Euros per room.
