Cheap hotels in Moscow
The capital of the Russian Federation is an important tourist destination and business center. Millions of people every year come to Moscow to visit the beautiful old buildings or to do business in what is the most important economic and financial center of the country.
Moscow boasts a wide range of hotels, with hundreds of hotels in all categories, although the offer of very cheap hotels is not very developed. This is a legacy of the period when Moscow was the capital of the Soviet Union, and the demand for hotel accommodation only came from local tourists or business people, customers with more disposable income who preferred 4 and 5 star hotels. For a few years now, things are getting better and cheap hotels are becoming increasingly popular in the city. Prices of guest rooms in 2 and 3 star hotels range from 60-70 Euros to 110-120 Euros per night, including breakfast and very often also free Wi-Fi in public areas.
There are no specific areas of the city where the cheap hotels are concentrated, but many of these are within the circle of wide avenues between the metro stations Tsvetnoy Bul'var, to the north, Tul'skaya to the south, Mezhdunarodnaya to the west and Chkalovkaya to the east. Please note that many 4 and 5 star hotels in Moscow, in the low season between October and March, excluding the holiday period between Christmas and New Year, offers considerably lower prices that otherwise are very high. And, booking online, rooms have further reductions in prices.
