Since 2000, the city of Bucharest has experienced drastic changes. The metropolitan area of the city has always been one of the most industrialized in Eastern Europe, but in recent years has developed into a massive residential and commercial area too.

Bucharest’s landmarks are spread over quite a wide area, but easily accessible by underground and surface public transports: therefore, the choice of a budget hotel doesn’t depend on its location, but rather on the amenities it offers at a certain price. During the periods when business activity decreases, on weekends and during the summer, many classy hotels offer substantial discounts.
