Choosing a B&B in Prague

B&Bs are not so popular in Prague. Real Bed & Breakfast are really a few and offer daily cleaning and breakfast at a price never higher than 50 Euros. Sometimes the room rate increases if the B&B is housed in a historic building or is situated in a particular location, such as along the Vltava river.

In the last years B&Bs have replaced the Guesthouses, one of the most typical lodging options in Prague until the mid-90’s. Prague hosts some 40 “Penzion” (guesthouse) in total, especially situated in the east of the city, in the districts of Prague 9, Prague 10, Prague 2 and Prague 3. They provide good services, such as en-suite bathroom, breakfast, private parking and often free Internet connection. The average rate for a room in a Prague guesthouse ranges between 40-60 Euros.
